The story builds up to Zade’s blood-soaked rescue of you. His vendetta against the Society is personal, and Carlton doesn’t hold back on the brutality as Zade dishes out his own brand of justice. But as with all dark romances, the aftermath is just as important as the rescue your character arc is compelling in that you don't just bounce back after being rescued.you suffer from PTSD and struggles with the scars left behind by your captors. Yet, as the story progresses, you begins to find strength in your trauma, joining Zade in his quest for revenge. Zade is in his office drinking a glass of whiskey and your in the hot tub in the backyard. You and zade have to live together.
